Doris Brock Arrington

         Doris Brock Arrington, 82, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012. She was born February 14, 1929 in Wayne County, NC. Doris was the daughter of the late William and Glennie Carter Brock. She was a member of Nashville Church of God. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Arrington.            She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Jimmy Hedgepeth and his wife Edna, of Charles City County, VA, three daughters, Linda Chitwood of Cincinnati, OH, Vickie Patterson and her husband Michael of Easley SC, Jeannie Henson and her husband David of Rocky Mount, two sisters, Edna Stone of Goldsboro and Betty Jean Joyner of Rocky Mount, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.        Visitation will be Tuesday January 3, 2012 from 6:00-7:30PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel with the Rev. Mark Bateman and Rev. Bruce Brumfield officiating.

          Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital Cancer Research at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.

Dear Jeannie, David, Shelly, Shane and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful person. I have many fond memories of her growing up with Jeannie as my best friend. You all will carry her love in your hearts for eternity. Sending my thoughts, love, and prayers to you all!

Jeannie, it was so good talking to you at Christmas and I wanted you to know you have been in my thoughts this week ater the loss of your mother.  Be glad she's not suffering any more although I know you will miss her.
