When I moved to Rocky Mount 1959, it wasn't long before I met Ramona
(Mona). She was a good friend of mind and a great person.
We played softball together along with Judy Walker House and Peggy Proctor for the recreation department.
We had many good times together.
At one time Mona and I went to the same church.
Even tho we have been out of touch for a long, long time, I have often thought of her and how she was doing.
Peggy and Judy have since died from cancer.
I went to school with Ramona and Rena Bossolona. Rena is still alive and living in Sharpsburg.
My deepest heartfelt thoughts are with the entire family during this time of sorrow.
If you get a chance, e-mail me.
With regards,
Ginger Newton

i am Mona's niece i would like to share with everyone how much Mona meant to me. My mom is Inez Nealy( her sister) she has had bad health for the last 4 years and everytime my mom would go in the hospital Mona would come down here to virginia and help us out by staying with her in the hospital or helping us at home with her. She loved my mom she would call her 2-3 times a day everyday just to make sure she was okay or just to check on her. When i found out she was ill i felt so helpless because i felt i should have jumped on the plane and flew to utah to help her like she came here to help us. i know even though i could not go that my heart was with her. i will always admire her and she will be terribly missed. My mom is very sad right now because she was not able to say goodbye to her due to her having a stroke prior to the funeral but i know Mona will always know that my mom dearly loved her. I know Mona is in heaven right now and i know without a doubt that my mom will see her again one day. We love you Mona. Kaye and family.
