Arthur Ray Hamm, Sr.
Arthur Ray Hamm, Sr., 79, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. Born in Wilson County on February 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph Walter and Ludie Langston Hamm. He was a retired taxi driver for Yellow Cab Co. and a member of Gospel Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Jones Hamm of Nashville; sons, Ricky Hamm and wife Debra of Sharpsburg, Joey Hamm of Nashville; brother, Jake Hamm of Wilmington; sister, Belle Sanderfer of King, NC and five grandchildren.
Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by brothers, Earl and Jimmy Hamm and Ruffus Lansten; sister, Mildred Murray, and a granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Hamm.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at
Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Family Cemetery, Sharpsburg. The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Just wanted to let you all know how sorry we are about Uncle Authurs passing. We also know that he is not suffering with pain anymore and I"m sure he had much rather be where he is and not here. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and will see you at his funeral. Love, Wanda
