Betty Simmons Lambert

Betty Simmons Lambert, 68, passed away Friday January 20, 2012. Betty was born November 24, 1943 in Bryan County, OK. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Wayne and Rosetta Rose Simmons. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Betty was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lambert and by a son, Robert Paul Lambert; three brothers, Wayne, Bill and Junior Simmons, one sister, Geraldine Davis.
She is survived by a son, Tommy Lambert and wife, Maria of Nashville; daughters, Karen Lambert Allen and husband, Gene of Rocky Mount, Debbie Lambert Rolband and husband, Gary of Charlotte, Linda Lambert Stussie of Nashville, brother, Kenneth Ray Simmons of Santa Maria CA., ten grandchildren and three great grandchildrenA service to celebrate the life of Betty Simmons Lambert will be held Tuesday January 24, 2012 at 11:00AM at Shenandoah Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Parker and Rev. Steve Edmondson officiating. Entombment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.The family will receive friends Monday evening January 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels Street #109, Raleigh, NC 27605
