Shirley Brantley Medlin

Shirley Brantley Medlin, 73, passed away November 27, 2011.  She was born January 8, 1938 in Nash County daughter of the late Gurley and Mendie Morris Brantley.Surviving are a son, Wayne Medlin of Spring Hope; daughter, Anita Sickles of Millington, TN; sisters, Annie Brantley and Lois Driver both of Spring Hope; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Brantley Family Cemetery, Spring Hope, with the Rev. Reuben Batchelor officiating.

Thinking of you all and praying that your precious memories will be a great comfort to you in the coming days. I know a smile came to my face as I remembered all the times Shirley sang and then laughed out loud. She was a precious woman and I am better for having known her.

I work at Middlesex Pharmacy and just visited Ms. Shirley about two weeks ago.  She was doing so well on that visit that I was shocked!  I just couldn't believe it when I heard the news of her passing.  Please know that we all loved her and thought highly of her.  She was one of my favorites!  I know she is entertaining everyone in Heaven!
