Murdie Leigh Boone Murray

Murdie Leigh Boone Murray, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday November 25, 2011. She was born April 2, 1919 in Nash County. Murdie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wallace Harold Murray and her son, Frank Harold Murray. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Murray Johnson of Apex, NC and Beverly Dawn Murray Joyner and husband Carson of Ellenboro, NC. She is also survived by her brother James W. "Bunk" Boone and wife, Evelyn of Elm City, NC. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews and her Vaughan's Chapel Church family. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 1pm to 2pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow afterwards at the Boone Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Vaughan's Chapel Church, 7261 Vaughan Chapel Road, Elm City, NC 27822 or to Hospice of Forest City, 374 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. Since Mae Murray passed only 3 weeks ago today, I know how hard it is to lose someone you love so much. My heartfelt sympathy to you and all the family.
