Nina Ruth Jernigan Bailey

      Our precious mama, Nina Ruth Jernigan Bailey, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, August 03, 2011. She was born in Nash County, February 7, 1928. Nina was the daughter of the late Mack and Vada Jernigan. She was the widow of James Harold Lee Bailey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jernigan and a sister, Helen Jernigan Brantley.

     She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her eight children, sons, Kenneth Bailey and wife Tonya, Ray Bailey and wife Carolyn, Allen Bailey, five daughters, Phyllis Webb and husband James, Margie Edwards, Geraldine Whitley, Lily Manning and Jean Artis and husband Freddie, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister, Becky Ward and husband Rev. Horace Ward, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Hunter Hill Nursing Home and Community Hospice.

    Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 7:00-8:30PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2:00Pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Horace Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.

To all the family of Mrs. Bailey,
Braxton & I will miss Mrs. Bailey.
We first met her when we first started going to Trinity Villas on the first Saturday night of each month.  Mrs. Bailey would always be in our service.  She was really a dear lady & a good neighbor to Braxton at Hunter Hills Nursing home.  We are praying that God will give all the family and all of her loved ones the inner strength & peace that only He can give.  May God always bless you, Love, Vicke & Braxton Sherrod
