Judith R. Evans

 

      Judith R. Evans, 68, passed away, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She was born July 20, 1942 in Mercer County, PA.; Judith was the daughter of the late, William Roach and Wilma Lloyd Roach. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Judith loved quilting and spending time with her family. She retired from Honeywell after 30 years of service.

     She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Rick Evans of Rocky Mount, one daughter, Shannon Armstrong and husband Scott of Nashville, two brothers, William Roach and wife Marlene of Hermitage, PA, Robert Roach of Sharon, PA., five sisters, Linda Spanos and husband Michael of Hermitage, PA., Catherine Kudelko and husband David of Largo, FL., Patti Estock and husband Paul of Hermitage, PA., Barbara Wallace and husband John of Rock Hill, SC., Debora Bair and husband Wayne of Masury, OH., one granddaughter, Alexa A. Armstrong, 17 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and her dear friend Bev. The family would like to extend a thank you to Nash General Bryant Aldridge Rehabilitation Center, Autumn Care of Nashville, Home Health of Nash County, her special aid Marlow and a special thank you to Father Dennis Verling of Holy Apostles Orthodox Church of Winterville, NC.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Judith, in care of Shannon Armstrong at 1044 Womble Road, Nashville, NC 27856.

     Funeral Service will be Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Father Dennis Verling officiating. Entombment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Mausoleum.

I had the priviledge of meeting your mom during her days at Bryant T Aldridge Rehab Center. She definitely put a smile on my face everyday seeing her. She loved each of you and was dearly proud of Alexa. I will keep you all in my prayers during this time. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to meet her. May God Bless you and keep you.
