Harvey Ray Pipkin

 

       Harvey Ray Pipkin, 51, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2011. He was born October 22, 1959. Harvey was the son of the late, James and Martha Stancil Pipkin. He was a member of the Salem Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years and Coopers Volunteer Fire Department for 11 years. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and loved his church family. Harvey was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Elizabeth and her husband Mac Parker.

   He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Melany Bullard Pipkin, three sons, Travis Pipkin of Louisburg, Wesley and Russell Pipkin of the home, one daughter, Melynda Pipkin of the home, four brothers, James “Pete” Pipkin of Middlesex, Robert Pipkin and wife Valerie of Rocky Mount, Henry Pipkin and wife Betty of Wilson, George Pipkin and wife JoAnn of Castalia, one sister, Shirley Peele and husband Arthur of Middlesex, one grandchild, Tyler Pipkin and several nieces and nephews.

    Memorial Service will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 7:00PM at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Williams officiating. Visitation will follow after the service.

    Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made the American Cancer Society, Salem Volunteer Fire Department or Salem Baptist Church.

       

 

Melany and family:  We are so very sorry for your loss. May God wrap his arms around you and bring you peace and ccomfort.

To: Harveys family I was so shocked when I talked with George and found out about
Harvey's passing.  I was friends with Harvey for over 30 years.  I know he will be greatly missed.  We used to have such a good time at school cutting up and as teenagers at Sandy Cross.  We will be praying for you.

I was so sorry to hear that Harvey had passed. I remember him from high school.May he live forever in your hearts.
