Virginia "Louise" Whitman- Send Condolences

Virginia Louise Mitchell Williams Whitman

 

Virginia Louise Mitchell Williams Whitman, 81, died peacefully Monday, April, 18, 2011 at Nash General Hospital.  Born in Mecklingburg County, Virginia on November 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Winnie and Atlas Mitchell of Nash County.  She was preceded in death by her infant brother William Mitchell.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband John Williams, Jr., with whom she had two daughters Celia Weaver and Debra Wheeless and preceded in death by her second husband Al Whitman.  A devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Louise is survived by her daughters Celia Weaver and husband Donald Weaver of Rocky Mount, NC and Debra Wheeless and husband Wray Wheeless of Wahiawa, HI.  Grandaughter Jennifer Long Johnson and grandsons Michael Long and Marty Bottoms of Rocky Mount.  Three great grandaughters Macey Johnson, Maitland Johnson and Kacie Long and two great grandsons Zachary Bottoms and Braxton Bottoms.  In addition, she is survived by her sister Florine Reams of Tarboro and brother Linwood Mitchell and his wife Lillie Mae Mitchell of Rocky Mount. Also survived by five nephews and three nieces and great nephews and nieces.  Louise enjoyed quilting and gardening and being surrounded by family and friends to include; Summer and Timothy Thompson and son Evan;  Amber Bottoms and son Jeremy; Kaleb Hill.  

To celebrate her life, family visitation will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations 1052 South First St., Nashville, NC on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 7:00-8:30 pm and graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Mount Memorial Garden Hwy. 43 Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.

I am so sorry that i couldnt visit before she passed away. I wanted to come to the funeral but we were in Charlottes Ville, Virginia. I loved her and i miss her. And i know she loved me, but i also hope this will not effect my relationship with the family, Love Yall.
