Verta Cooper Parker

    Verta Cooper Parker, 79, passed away, Tuesday, August 30, 2011. She was born December 2, 1931 in Nash County. Verta was the daughter of the late Z.D. and Eula Mosley Cooper. She attended Harvest Baptist Church of Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by her husband Purvis S. Parker, three bothers and one sister.

    She leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters, Ruby C. Rose of Nashville, Sevada “Sue” Cooper of Nashville and Dorothy C. Cooley of Elm City, several nieces and nephews.

    Graveside service will be Friday, September 2, 2011 at 2:00PM at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, NC with the Rev. Gary Wood officiating.
