Angela Sutter Phillips-Send Condolences
May 30, 2011
Angela Sutter Phillips

Angela Sutter Phillips, 42, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, May 30, 2011. She was born October 6, 1968 in Wake County. Angela was the daughter of Robert and Sylvia Bradley Sutter of Spring Hope. She was an extraordinary mother, daughter, sister and wife. She loved her family, and was a gifted musician. She sang beautifully and also played the flute and piano. Angela proudly sang with Mount Olive College Singers. She was a charter member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, her loving husband of sixteen years, Mike Phillips, two sons, Ryan Christopher Phillips and Bradley Watson Phillips, both of the home, one daughter, Sarah Kathryn Phillips of the home, one brother, Christopher Bradley Sutter and wife Frankie of Clinton, special cousins, Lorra Baylis and Jan Milani; and numerous aunts and uncles, whom she loved dearly.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 7:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Blake Dempsey officiating. Visitation will follow after the service. Live plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 2418 Blue Ridge Rd. Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607 or the charity of one’s choice.
My heart hurts for all of you and for our church family as well. Angela was truly a beautiful person - inside and out. She was cheerful and always brightened the room, lifting the spirits of those around her. Listening to her sing always brought a tear or a smile - or sometimes both - because she was able to let the message shine through. She will be missed.

Dear Mike & Bradley,
Words cannot express the shock I felt when Melanie called me yesterday to tell me of Angela's passing. Keith and I are at the beach so we will not be able to attend the service.
Please know that we immediately prayed for comfort and peace for your family. Having lost our son so suddenly 7 years ago, we know exactly the void you are experiencing.
We will try to get in touch with you when we return to town. Join us one Monday night for Cowboy Church at the old North Nashville Ruritan Club. I know that Bradley would love it.
In His love,

Dear Robert, Sylvia and Chris: I don't know if you will remember me, but my name is Jeffrey Wells. I auditioned with "Angie" on the same day for the Music Scholarship for Louisburg. Angie was such a beautiful singer. Bob, I had the pleasure of sharing the Stage with you in "Amahl and the Night Visitors". I had the pleasure of becoming one of her best friends during those years and actually visited you and had a wonderful dinner at your house. Angie, always used the expression "POOKIE". I will never forget it or her. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know, however, there's a singing "ANGEL" smiling down on each of you. Thank you for bringing such an amazing person into my life.
Sincerely, Jeff Wells
