Lindberg M. Pittman
Lindberg M. Pittman, 72, passed away, Thursday, October 27, 2011. He was born June 6, 1939 in Nash County. He was the son of the late Joseph Willie Pittman Sr. and Bertha Bone Pittman. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Elizabeth Rose Pittman, three brothers, Tommy, Jerry and Joe Pittman, Jr. one sister, Magalene Baker. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Lindy Pittman and wife Jean of Rocky Mount, Larry Pittman and fiancé Jennifer of Macclesfield, one daughter Melody White and husband Mike of Nashville, four sisters, Kathalene Baker, Deliah Bulluck and husband James, Betty Jean Blackford and husband Tom, all of Rocky Mount, Crystal Hare and husband Wayne of Zebulon, five grandchildren, David Davis, Travis Tippette, Crystal Arrington, Justin and Braxton Pittman, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be, Sunday October 30, 2011 at 7:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mills officiating. Visitation will follow after the service.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I cannot imagine what you guys are going through, but I am sending my love and prayers to help try and ease your pain. Lindy, Larry, and Mike...we have been through a lot over the years...I know your dad is in a better place regardless of how hard it is to accept him being gone...May he rest in peace! My Mom, Faye Lane, sends her best as well...seems she knew your dad when she was a waitress years ago.

Melody and family, I didn't get to know Uncle Lindburg for long but I did enjoy him visiting the store tell stories and just cutting up with us. Please know that he will be missed greatly by me and the community.You have my deepest sympathy. Robin Lewis ( D&J grocery)

my prayers are with the pittman family.i have had the pleasure of knowing lingberg for over 30 years.he will truely be miss by others.but now he is with his wife sara dancing and pain free.i am part of the briley clan.mom briley,gene,mike,dennis,derek and gail will keep you in our prayers and if you need any thing just hollow.
