Jasper Lee “Jack” Poland
Jasper Lee “Jack” Poland, 62, passed away, Wednesday November 16, 2011 at his home. He was born April 26, 1949 in Edgecombe County. Jack was dedicated to his family and had a passion for music and golf. He was preceded in death by his father William “Buck” McRae Poland.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rachel Eason Poland, wife, Dale Lucas Poland, one son, Greg Poland and Michelle Narron of Rocky Mount, daughter, Denise Poland Torres and Brian Keith Lamm of Tarboro, three sisters, Peggy Radford and husband Grover of Castalia, Esther Poland and Dennis Proctor of Sandy Cross, Kathy Medlin and husband Jerry of Sandy Cross, four grandchildren, Austin Torres, Matthew Narron, Jordan and Jacob Lamm, fifteen nieces and nephews , fourteen great- nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday November 19, 2011 from 6:00-7:00PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville. Memorial service will follow at 7:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit other times at the home, 3421 S. Halifax Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Hospital Cancer Center at 111 Hospital Dr. Tarboro NC 27886 or Friends of Hospice of Nash at 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
Dale & family my heart bleeds for you at this time,I lost a friend that will never be forgotten, my prayers are with you & the family, and may God's peace be with you.

To The Poland Family,Jasper was a good friend to me.There was never a time when we would meet that he would not have a kind word.Always a smile,a genuine smile.I never met a nicer person.I'm blessed to have known such a friend.God bless your family.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the loss of Jack. He was a wonderful loving husband and father. A joy to be around. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know him and his family.
