Margie Snipes Rice

 Margie Snipes Rice, 87, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011.  She was born September 24, 1923 in Wilson County.  Margie was a member of Nashville Church of God and she loved her church and her Lord.

 She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Everett “Doug” Rice; sons, Ken Hyde of Shelbyville KY, Steven Rice of Wilmington, Relmond Rice of Springfield MO, Rodney Rice of DuQuoin, IL, and Mike Rice of Elkville, IL; sister, Marietta Batchelor of Nashville; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

 Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Bateman and Rev. Dudley officiating.  Burial will follow at Black Creek Cemetery, Black Creek, NC.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 PM on Monday, September 26.

Bro. Rice and Family,

Braxton and I will really miss Sister Rice.  Both or us especially enjoyed her being in our Sunday School Services at Autumn Care.

She was really a dear and sweet Christian lady who will be missed here, but we can rejoice in knowing that she is in heaven.
