To the Sasser Family- I am deeply saddened at the loss of Mrs. Sasser. She was one of the first people that I met upon moving to Nash County in 1987 when I assisted as an independent auditor for the county. She was so kind and helpful to me obviously realizing that I was just beginning my career and learning the "ropes". On occasion, I would have business with her office and she remained that kind and generous lady throughout the years. May you find comfort knowing that she is now in the loving arms of God and at peace.

How saddened I was to hear of the loss of Barbara, your wife and loved one of 55 years. . I always enjoyed seeing the two of you together such a loving couple. It was obvious that you really enjoyed each other so much.
As you well know, Barbara was loved and respected by many. She will truly be missed, and I am definitely in that number. We have shared many good times together on the campaign trail and at community events in the county
Barbara was a dedicated and accomplished Register of Deeds serving as the elected leader since 1992 and working in the office since 1974. Her combination of experience, professionalism and commitment to public service is irreplaceable, and both we and you have a void that cannot be filled.
It is my hope that you and your family will find comfort in expressions of love and support from each other, your friends and your church and community members. I know that you know that God will comfort you best of all. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance at any time.
