John "Jack" Daniel Toler

John Toler, 85, passed away, April 12, 2011. He was born September 19, 1925 in Nash County, son of the late Jessie Lee Toler and Nannie Jones Toler. He was predeceased by his parents, one son, two brothers, and one sister. Jack loved his family, gardening, fishing, and NASCAR. He served in the US Army in WW II.
He is survived by his wife Louise Dickens Toler of 65 years; four sons, Daniel Ray Toler of Sharpsburg, Roger Michael Toler and wife Bonnie of Rocky Mount, Samuel A. Toler of Rocky Mount, and Tony Toler and wife Brenda of Sharpsburg; three daughters, Carolyn Dawn Toler of the home, Kathryn Toler of Sharpsburg, and Linda Joyce Toler of Rocky Mount; one brother, Jerry Alton Toler and wife Diane of Sharpsburg; three sisters, Delores Weston of Rocky Mount, Jo Ann Newcomb of Tarboro, and Pat Avent and husband Frank of Hobgood; two sister-in-laws, Estelle Jackson of Tarboro and Elsie Garner of Raleigh; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Mike Holland and Amy Jo Cooper.
Vistiation will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. The burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
So sorry to hear about Jack. He was special to all of us and we will miss him too. His memory will live forever in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. Our love and sympathy
