Mildred Louise Gardner Faircloth

Mildred Louise Gardner Faircloth, age 73, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, 01/01/2012.  She passed away at Nash General Hospital after a brief illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Jeff Faircloth, brothers Roscoe Gardner, William Gardner, George Gardner, Marvin Gardner & Cecil Gardner, sisters Leola Gardner & Bessie Harrell. 

 Louise was born on November 8th, 1938 to the late Ernest Samuel Gardner and Katie Joyner Gardner.   Louise is survived by her “special caregivers”, Sophia & Charles Bridges, daughters, Mildred, Bonnie, Teresa, and Cathy, four brothers, Troy Gardner & wife Grace, Roy Gardner, Larry Gardner & wife Sharon, and Donnie Gardner, 3 sisters, Rachel Strickland, Elsie Sledge and husband, Paul & Ruth Wood and husband J.L., brother-in-law, Orbin Faircloth & wife, Emily, sister-in-law, Ruth Hicks & several nieces and nephews.

 She always said she wanted to go home so she is finally at her eternal home with Jeff who always called her “his baby”.  They are together again for eternity.  Louise was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Sharpsburg.  She was a very loving and giving person who would welcome you with a beautiful smile.  The last 5 years of her life she resided at Somerset Assisted Living where she received the best of care by their entire staff.  Louise will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. 

 A special thanks to Patsy, Linda and Ruth of Virginia and to Troy and Grace Gardner for their help in support of Louise.  Visitation will be @ Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, NC on Tuesday, January 3rd from 7p-8:30p.  A Going Home graveside celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 4th @ 2pm with the Rev. George Moore conducting the service.  She will be buried along side her husband at Pineview Cemetary.  Arrangements will be provided by Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville, NC.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to her church, Bethany Baptist Church in Sharpsburg, NC.
