Martin "Marty" Neal Proctor Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Martin (Marty) Neal Proctor was born September 19, 1961 in Salina, Kansas. On July 21, 2022 he was reunited with his son in heaven. Marty was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Neal Proctor and his mother, Lynn Tippette. Marty leaves treasured memories for his father, Russell Proctor Jr. and wife Linda of Rocky Mount, NC; daughter, Ashley Proctor and partner Brandon Hare of Rocky Mount, NC; stepson, Jason Shrock of Tarboro, NC; sisters, Paula “Nessie” Bass and husband Joe of Rocky Mount, NC, Beverly Warren and husband Darrell of Rocky Mount, NC, Robbin Pridgen and husband Bill of Rocky Mount, NC; grandchildren Silas Perdue and Kayla Perdue; nieces and nephews, John Beacham (Josh), Samantha Cuevas (Juan), Megan Wilson (AJ), Casey Garciga (Morgan), Kristen Price (Taylor), Dillon Warren and Tucker Pridgen. Marty spent years working in concrete and driving heavy equipment before moving to Carteret County. He enjoyed be a drawbridge operator in Beaufort and then Harker’s Island. Marty loved spending time with his family. He loved nothing more than cooking on the grill and having a cold one. Everyone knew him for is BBQ chicken. He was a kindhearted person that would help anyone and go without for them to have. His favorite pastimes were being on his boat fishing, watching Nascar, looking arrowheads, and dancing to beach music. A visitation will be held from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The family request that everyone wear beach clothing to the visitation in honor of Marty.
