Patricia Leigh Strickland

Patricia Leigh Brantley Strickland, 84, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born December 31, 1937 in Nash County, North Carolina to the late Charles and Debbie Boone Brantley. Patricia was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Dwight Brantley. She was a devoted wife and sister and was proud to be an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Hosting holiday gatherings, cooking delicious meals, and shopping for her grand nieces and nephews were the things she enjoyed most. Her love for her family was the essence of who she was, and she was the glue that held them together. She was known for her fierce love, honest tongue, and generous heart. She was an avid Tar Heel Fan. She spent most of her life making sure everyone else was taken care of including her husband. She was loved dearly by her family on whom she had a lasting impact. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Hassell Strickland; brother, Danny Brantley (Cindy); sisters, Glenda Speight (Gerald) and Carol Jean Stallings (Harvey); a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Brandon Dees officiating, at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to your favorite charity.
