Patricia Wood Whitfield

Patricia Wood Whitfield age 66 gained her angel wings on June 22, 2022. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents Willis Wood and Martha Warren, and her beloved husband of 21 years Thomas Addison Whitfield. Patricia was born on September 24, 1955 in Edgecombe County. She is survived by her sister, Becky Johnson; brother Clyde Wood and wife Peggy; her daughters Rebecca Morgan and Hillary Jones (Brian). The apples of her eye four grandchildren Sandy Hughes (Mitch), Renne Tevepaugh, Ray Edmondson (Marissa), Macey O’Hara; six great-grandchildren Adalyn, Austin, Hunter, Dawson, Cambri and Celia; her very special friend Peter Perry, and her best friend for over 40 years Carol Parrish. Patricia was a devoted mother, granny, great granny, and mema. She could light up a room with her huge personality and amazing smile. She loved with all her heart. She loved camping, fishing, most importantly her family and closest friends. She will always be remembered for the special touch she made on everyone’s life. Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 6:00-7:30pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Parker Officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
