Richard Jason Miles, 39, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born December 15, 1982 in Nash County. He loved his family and all his friends, hiking, swimming, snowboarding, vacationing with his wife and children, and going to concerts. He also enjoyed building log cabin homes. Richard was a very giving person and loved helping people. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy and Evelyn Proctor and paternal grandparents, John and Jean Miles. He is survived by his wife of four and a half years, Cindy Sloop Miles; parents, John Wesley Miles, Jr. and Ginger Proctor Miles; son, John Joyner; daughters Evelyn and Heidi Miles; brothers John Miles, III (Ashley), Brian Miles, Brandon Miles (Hannah) and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home from 3:30 ~ 4:45 PM. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM with Bishop William Earp officiating.
